Ohio Watershed Solutions

Ohio Watershed Solutions, LLC is an aquatic ecology restoration company that focuses on using green infrastructure practices such as floating wetlands, vegetated stream banks, and live willow stakes. These practices repair and prevent further erosion, improve water quality, provide critical food and habitat for many aquatic and terrestrial species, while being aesthetically pleasing to the human eye.

Floating Wetlands

Are used in small lakes or ponds to provide water quality improvements, shade and cover for fish, and nectar for pollinators.

Live Willow Stakes

Are installed into streambanks where erosion is occurring. The stakes will take root to prevent further erosion, while providing shade for the stream and habitat for wildlife.

Streambank Restoration

Whether using native plant plugs or coconut fiber coir logs, revegetating streambanks to prevent further erosion is a great way to help improve water quality.

Green Infrastructure

Unlike gray infrastructure, green infrastructure uses vegetation, soils and other elements to restore the natural processes required to manage water and help create healthier environments for wildlife and humans. Green infrastructure is a cost-effective and resilient approach to mitigating the impacts of climate change while simultaneously providing many benefits to the community.
